Provost’s Summer Mentorship Program
The Provost’s Summer Mentorship Program is an award-winning summer college preparatory experience offered to High School students in Philadelphia (and surrounding counties). Admitted students are paired with one of our five affiliate University of Pennsylvania Professional Schools. Participants engage in hands-on, experiential learning, through a creatively designed curriculum developed to highlight and offer exploration into various career choices.

Future Health Professionals Program
The Future Health Professionals Program is a 16-session educational and experiential program that inspires and prepares 10th-12th grade students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue careers in healthcare.
Programming includes tours of Jefferson facilities, hands-on learning, personal and leadership development activities, and interaction with Jefferson students, faculty, and staff.

CHOP
Neurology High School Scholars Program
The Neurology High School Scholars Program offers the opportunity for four high school students to complete a five-week paid internship ($1,000 stipend). The internship involves working closely with a neurologist or neuroscientist on a basic science or clinical research project, shadowing physicians in clinic, and attending a weekly educational session with the cohort. Work hours will be determined between the student and mentor based on project needs. At the end of the five weeks, students will be expected to prepare a poster presentation outlining their project results and present the poster at a conference.

CRISSP
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Research Institute Summer Scholars Program (CRISSP) is a 10-week competitive summer internship program for undergraduate students interested in careers in the biomedical sciences. The internship is designed to provide students with theoretical knowledge, practical training in academic research, and critical exposure to pediatric-focused career trajectories under the direct mentorship of CHOP faculty. Full time immersion in a lab or research group allows interns to experience science and discovery first hand.
